This is what one of our jury members Ms. Shanta Gokhale has to say about the Indiaplaza Golden Quill Award.
"Writers write because they have to. They do so largely without public encouragement. Unlike sportspeople, they are not naturally competitive. So when an award like the Indiaplaza Golden Quill is announced, there might even be a twinge of fear in their minds. Yet to be publicly acknowledged is a thing of rare pleasure and pride. So, along with fear, there is excitement. There is hope.
